Why Invest In Waterloo Region’s Hot Real Estate Market?

Waterloo Region is one of Canada's fastest growing communities. It's also globally recognized as one of the best places to do business and invest in real estate.

Waterloo Region has a thriving economy and a prosperous future. Many world-leading companies are here – from major manufacturers like Toyota and large insurance companies like Manulife Financial to global high-tech companies like Google, BlackBerry, OpenText, Christie Digital Systems and D2L. In total, there are over 1,000 high-tech firms in the Region, including those with headquarters elsewhere, like Oracle and Intel. They come here to take advantage of the large concentration of 30,000 high-tech employees. Word is out that this area is a great place to work and do business – and a smart place to invest.

30K Tech professionals are employed locally.

1K Tech jobs are available in the area.

Close to Hwy 401 and 45 minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Waterloo Region is planning for the future now with a new Transit Hub that will connect the GO Train, VIA Rail and a new Light Rail Transit (LRT) system under one roof. With the new LRT, travelling between Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge will be fast and efficient. The LRT will make the Region one of the smallest centres in Canada with its own light-rail transit line. It will also make this area a hot investment location, since the LRT will attract new residents to relocate here from outside the Region.

The growth rate in Waterloo Region surpasses the national and provincial average. The Region is home to over 1,000 technology companies that generate over $30 billion in annual revenues. It's also home to three think tanks and two world-leading universities: University of Waterloo is the nation's most innovative university and Wilfrid Laurier is renowned for its faculty of business.

Many high-tech companies are settling here, in old industrial buildings like The Tannery and Breithaupt Block. As a result, the Region has become a thriving economic cluster that's attracting international attention for emerging technologies.
